Screens
Keep one layout of panes per task, and swipe between them.
A screen is a layout of panes: terminals, files and previews side by side. Keep one screen per task, such as a feature, a review, or a server you're watching, and switch between them the way you switch desktops on a Mac.
Screens are the tabs in the title bar. A screen without a name shows a miniature of its layout, and a dot tells you something on it needs your attention.
There's always a fresh one
The last screen is always empty. Open something on it and Cube adds a new empty screen after it. Other screens that end up empty close on their own.
An empty screen offers Add Repo, New Agent and Open Terminal to get going. New Agent starts your default agent in the screen's repository when it has one.
Move between screens
- Swipe sideways on the trackpad.
- Press ⌘ 1 to ⌘ 9.
- Use the arrow keys when the tabs have focus.
Organize them
- Name a screen: right-click its tab and choose Name screen….
- Reorder: drag tabs, or use Move left and Move right.
- Move a pane to another screen: drop it on that screen's tab.
- Close a screen with ⇧ ⌘ W, a middle-click on its tab, or Close screen. Its terminals keep running.
The same terminal or file can sit on several screens at once.
Screens belong to the device you arrange them on. Your Mac and your phone each keep their own.
