Sidebar and repositories
Add repositories, branch into worktrees, and find every terminal from the sidebar.
The sidebar lists your repositories and everything running in them. Show or hide it with the button beside the window controls or ⌘ B. While it's hidden, move the pointer to the window's left edge to peek at it. Drag its edge to resize it.
Cloud and Local
The switch at the foot of the sidebar picks the machine you're looking at: the Cube mark for Cloud, your Cube machine, or the laptop for Local, this Mac. You can also swipe between them. Each machine has three tabs in its title row:
| Tab | What's there |
|---|---|
| Repos | Your repositories and what's running in them. |
| Agents | Installed and available agents. See Agents and tools. |
| Machine | Specs, SSH, backups and resets. See Machine. |
The foot of the sidebar also has the Settings gear, with your forwarded ports just above it.
Add a repository
Choose Add Repo at the top of the list, or press ⇧ ⌘ O.
- Add existing repo… searches your GitHub repositories and clones the one you pick. Don't see it? Fork it into your account on GitHub first, then search again. On Local, choose a folder on your Mac instead.
- Create repo… makes a new repository in
~/repos, onmain, with an empty first commit. Turn on Publish to GitHub to create it on GitHub too, private by default.
Terminals under each repository
Each repository lists the terminals running in it. A terminal working in a worktree shows its branch as a label. Terminals that don't belong to a repository are under Unscoped.
Hover a repository for New agent…, New terminal here and Browse files.
Worktrees
A worktree is a second checkout of the same repository on its own branch, so two agents can work on the same repository without touching each other's files.
- Create one: right-click a repository and choose New worktree…. Start it from a new branch, an existing branch, or, for GitHub repositories, a pull request or an issue.
- See them: click the branch icon beside a repository's name (Show worktrees). The repository then lists its worktrees, each with its terminals. Cube remembers the choice per repository.
- Manage one: right-click it for Open on GitHub, Retry and Remove worktree….
- Reorder terminals within a worktree by dragging them.
Artifacts
HTML files at the root of a repository show up in the sidebar under it, and open as panes. Local site previews appear the same way. Right-click one to Open in browser, Copy URL or Hide from sidebar; the repository's menu brings hidden ones back with Show hidden artifacts (N).
More on the repository menu
Right-click a repository for Publish to GitHub…, Remove repo…, and Move up or Move down to reorder the list.
