Run agents in parallel

Give each agent its own Git worktree on your cloud computer, so several can work on one repository at once.

Two agents in one checkout overwrite each other's files. A worktree is a second checkout of the same repository on its own branch, so each agent gets one and they never collide.

For why worktrees, and how to do it by hand, see the guide How to run parallel Claude Code agents.

Show worktrees

Open your computer in the sidebar. Beside Repos, turn on Show worktrees (the branch icon). Each repository then lists its worktrees, with their terminals under them.

Create a worktree per task

Select the repository and press ⇧ ⌘ N, or right-click it and choose New worktree…. Start it from a New branch named after the task, or from an Existing branch, a Pull request or an Issue, then choose Create worktree. Repeat for each task.

Start an agent in each

Hover a worktree and choose New agent…, then the agent. Each one works on its own branch, in its own folder. Mix agents if you like: Claude Code in one worktree, Codex in another.

Keep an eye on them

A dot beside each agent shows its state: blue and pulsing while it's Working, amber when it's Waiting for you, steady when it's Finished. Put each agent on its own screen to switch between them with ⌘ 1–9.

Review and clean up

Right-click a worktree for Open on GitHub to review its branch, and Remove worktree… once it's merged.

See Repos and worktrees for everything else the repository list does.
